Miss Marcia Profile Picture

Miss Marcia
Miss Marcia has been dancing as long as she can remember. While growing up, she performed all over the Midwest for USO shows and toured Poland as a folk dancer. She performed as a professional tap dancer in Northern Nevada. She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and utilizes that knowledge when working with the variety of ages and learning styles of her students. She is constantly taking classes for professional dance educators in all areas of dance, is certified by Dance Masters of America, and is part of a network of highly respected dance teachers throughout the West. She has choreographed for musical theater productions at the high school and is co-director of the summer children’s theater program on the South Shore. Her choreography could also be seen at dance galas in Reno and at pageants. Miss Marcia received the “Champions for Children” award from The El Dorado Child Abuse Prevention Council and carried the Olympic Torch representing the spirit of the City of South Lake Tahoe. It is a continuing goal to build the dance and performing arts outreach programs. She has been married to Dennis forever and they are the parents of Lisa and Evan. Lisa was a professional dancer, graduated from UNLV and is a reading specialist in Las Vegas. She consults on all aspects of the dance recitals and teaches dance in North Las Vegas. Evan graduated from UCSB with a dual major in Business and Spanish, and has a Masters in International Business from ESCP Paris. He lives in London and is employed by Ernst and Young. Miss Marcia is grateful every day for her wonderful family, staff, dancers, parents, and friends who are truly the ones who make our dancers “The Shining Stars of Lake Tahoe”.

Miss Nicole
Miss Nicole studied various dance genres and attended ballet intensives. She incorporates her extensive ballet training and brings an artistic style to her choreography in the variety of classes she teaches. She has danced professionally for Eli Kerr’s show that toured Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Oregon, and the “Chipper Lowell Show”. She has has a Masters Degree in Education. She is a kindergarten teacher at Tahoe Valley,  was the choreographer for Tahoe Valley’s theater production, and is a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Her children, Kasey, Alyssa, and Tyler, are Shining Stars and keep Miss Nicole and husband, Eric, busy with their various activities. Alyssa is now known as “Miss Sissy” when she helps with the Bijou Ballet program.


Miss Kylie Profile

Miss Kylee
Miss Kylee grew up dancing at the studio, where she studied at multiple summer workshops with many notable instructors. She has a Bachelors Degree in Recreation from Sac State where she was the captain of the dance team. She continues to take courses in dance and dance education. Kylee was a teacher and choreographer for studios in the Midwest and is currently the coach of the STHS dance team. She organizes workshops with the Sac State Dance Team so our dancers have the opportunity to perform at Sac State games. Kylee performed professionally for Lucky Rabbit Productions and Tahoe Entertainment. Miss Kylee’s vast background makers her able to “step-up” for many classes, and her attention to detail is much appreciated in our productions.

Miss Audrey
Miss Audrey brings an extensive background in dance. She was a member of a Nevada City Dance Company, a scholarship recipient at Cal Arts, and has trained with countless renowned teachers. She brings a dynamic creative element to the ballet and contemporary pieces she choreographs. Miss Audrey works at L’Atelier as a cosmetologist when she isn’t keeping us on our toes.






Miss Heather Profile

Miss Heather
Miss Heather danced with a variety of prestigious dance companies including Atlantic Ballet, Wheaton College, People to People, and the Rhythm Factor Dance Company. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Southern Maine and coursework in Special Education and Psychology. She has been a dance instructor in Maine, Wyoming, and Florida. Heather works for Alta Regional working with special needs clients, and is a certified fitness instructor. She created a dance conditioning program here at the studio, and teaches and choreographs ballet for the elementary and high school students. Miss Heather & Tory were married in September 2017.



Point Shoe ArchMiss Kelsi
Miss Kelsi trained with a variety of renowned ballet teachers from all over the United States, in addition to her classes at the studio. At he age of 10, she went to a summer intensive and danced in the New York City Ballet’s production of Sleeping Beauty. As a young teen, she spent two summers with Oakland Ballet where she took company classes and performed. She danced the role of Clara in the Nutcracker with the Pinkerton Ballet in Carson City. At 17, she was awarded a scholarship to Cal Arts summer dance program.  She went on to dance professionally for various production companies. She brings classical knowledge to the ballet students she works with. She and her husband Doug are the parents of Lilli, who is, of course a “Shining Star”.

Miss Jordan returned to Lake Tahoe after dancing, training, and teaching in Southern California. She has a passion for all styles of dance and she currently teaches our middle school hip hop and contemporary classes, and brings a strong lyrical technique element to her contemporary students. She is an interior designer who works in both Northern and Southern California.

Miss Rita excels in all areas of dance and she took over the Boyz Klub hip hop program. She trained extensively under Mr. Josh, formerly of America’s Best Dance Crew, as both a student and choreographer. She attends workshops as an advanced level dancer. She works hard at keeping her boyz up with the latest in hip hop, and is happy to share her love and passion for dance with her students.




97945e_f91788211c1d4b0b9379b92fda688710~mv2The studio is excited to welcome Robyn Lindner as the advanced jazz teacher. She grew up dancing in Lake Tahoe. Robyn continued to pursue her dance education at Saint Mary’s College of California where she danced for the SMC Dance Company and headed the SMC Dance Team as its captain.  Following her college career, Robyn taught dance throughout the East Bay Area at The Rhythm Room, Oakwood Athletic Club, New Style Motherlode and more. While teaching, she also performed with Santos Jazz, Showgirlz and ran her own dance company, BASIC, out of Berkeley, CA. After being introduced to the Bar Method in Walnut Creek, it became her passion and she taught in Bar Method studios throughout the Bay Area, New York and New Jersey for over eight years.  She is the owner and director of The Bar Tahoe, where she teaches throughout the week . Robyn has a Masters Degree in Counseling. “Ms. Lindner” is also an English teacher at South Tahoe High School.



Point Shoe ArchMiss Karlee
Miss Karlee has been dancing at the studio since she was a preschooler. While assisting in class one day, Miss Marcia asked her to come up with some choreography for the older elementary Young Performers class. Her work was so impressive that she is now the lead teacher and choreographer for the Young Performers/Hip Hop program. She is also the assistant teacher in multiple classes.






Point Shoe ArchLisa Sarosik
Lisa is the creative/artistic consultant for Miss Marcia and other teachers. Her background in the performing arts combined with her passion for a variety of music styles makes her the “go to” for helping with production ideas. She was a professional dancer for five years and has a Bachelors Degree in Dance from UNLV. She has a credential in Elementary Education and is currently a reading specialist at elementary schools in North Las Vegas. Lisa recently expanded the dance program for low income students at a recreation facility in Vegas.



The dancers have been fortunate to study with an amazing array of professional guest faculty the studio brings in whenever possible.  The Studio hosted the Dance League Workshop with Desiree Robbins, from Los Angeles, and Tyler Muhlenkamp, from Walt Disney World. Within the past year our dancers have attended workshops and intensives at the Commercial Dance Intensive, 24/7 in Reno, Joffrey in LA and New York, California Summer School for the Arts, and the Broadway Intensive in San Francisco.
